Really, really, bad websites. Really bad.
« on: January 18, 2010, 04:15:01 am »

Discover some of the most beautiful places in the World.

Yes, that's the name of this site, not it's subheading.
Aside from alignment fail, the numerous flashing spots on the world map will give you a head after too long, especially combined with the dark blue background and banners made from colourized - to dark blue - images of film.

Oh, and the ad at the bottom tells you to book your pakage.

MSY Technology Pty. Ltd.

This travesty seems to be some sort of half-arsed attempt at an infosplash, and it痴 failing hard. They made the difficult decision, first of all, to go with center-align on this gob of red and white text. While brave of them, it was stupid, and it only serves to make the whole thing look like some form of massive and immobile tag cloud from hell.

MIA UK

MY EYES.

Ling's Cars

Let's Play: Avoid Seizures.

The Government of Zimbabwe

Yes, that Zimbabwe. If you take one look at this page and you find that you cannot stop laughing, you池e not a bad person. Well, not for that, at least. Zimbabwe is apparently a little behind the times, by about 20 years, because this is by far one of the most pathetic websites I have ever seen. What痴 saddest about this poor little page, is that it was updated at the beginning of this year. That means it痴 supposed to be this bad.

フラッシュ画像,宇宙人,天文,天体,エイリアン,太陽系,ノアの大洪水,津波,不思議Ufo,Evil Alien,Noah'sFlood,FlyingSaucer,Satan,Moon,religion

If you池e missing your dose of crazy for the week, and also want to see what websites looked like when children made them for free in 1995, then hit up some of Japan痴 finest. There doesn稚 seem to be a definitive site-title anywhere, and the navigation is downright painful. Since it can be difficult to make it far enough down this rabbit hole, just skip straight to this gem, Chapter 17 of The Attack Of Ufos and the Giant Deluge of Noah.

This isn't a spam thread, it's a thread for websites you've found that are horribly designed, implementated, and/or just plain worthless. And I have many more bad websites, so many more.

Guh.

Okay, the last one definitely has some timecube-like charm.

And it has the benefit of not shattering my eyes at first sight, unlike timecube.

MIA UK

MY EYES.

YE GODS! WHAT IS THIS ABOMINATION!

I used to know a site that was just pure information overload.
Seriously, you went there and it was just a massive wall of text with scattered links leading to more walls of text.
Of course, now I can't remember the name of it.

I've seen some pretty badly designed sites.

Are you thinking of www.timecube.com, perhaps?

Similar, yeah. Do your sanity a favor, and run that whole site through a text-to-speech program.

I couldn't help but laugh at the NEXT PAGE down at the bottom.

I've seen some pretty badly designed sites.

Like... 90% of Geocities (R.I.P.) sites?

Ye gods, so many of those were horrible.
Too bad it shut down though.

Hmm I probably shouldn't be looking at these in public... That MIA site is easily confusable for a site of another nature.

I don't know how many of you saw this in the sad thread a week ago, but here's the American Beauty Border Collies, which has had a Valentines day makeover.

I remember that.

It's like someone crystallized disgust and then put it on the internet.

You obviously haven't been crystallizing hard enough.

You obviously haven't been crystallizing hard enough.

It is hard to get the proper environment... That sort of disgust generation is usually only possible on 4Chan or Fanfiction.net
