Completely unarmed though, will be quite awhile till she can start seeing combat operations...

She also needs a name, no ship in AresCorp flys without a name.

Lesse need 8 Flak cannons (Bitch to come by but can use both normal flak and and cluster flak so that makes things easier)

And 32 Main guns... 8 of which I wish I could get IBL's for but eh.

In other news...

Fuck the HUB plot... 150k Teladium!!?!?!

The minimum specs for reunion were way to low for what the game would run on when first released.

I picked up the gold edition of x3:r+tc the other day after a bit of nostalgia inspired by this thread and finding out they my original x3:r disks were scratched. I seem to be doing fine in TC on medium settings after turning anti-aliasing down and I am on integrated graphics (Radeon HD 3300). How old is your computer?

Well its a 1 year old cheap laptop with:
Intel Core Duo 1,66 Ghz
3GB RAM
Geforce 8400M GS

Bah! I dislike the Argon Titan. I don't like Argon ship design, way too boring for my taste. Plus I was always losing fighters in Reunion to my Titan's over zealous flak cannon crew.

Paranid ships are much purtier anyways!  :P

Interestingly, Armok's name actually originates from arm_ok, a variable in one of Toady's earlier games that kept track of how many of your arms weren't missing.

ah. I have ridiculously more raw cpu, that might be a major factor. but your video card should be close though. Have you tried updating your drivers? Have you gone into bios and set the video cards memory to its maximum (256megs according to specs)? Mine has 128 megs onboard and I expanded that to 512 megs dedicated to the card in my bios.

Also I agree.  Paranid ships are nice.  My heavy Nemesis is truly a Nemesis(4 Hepts(Corvettes/large fighters) and 4 PBEs(Small annoying M4s/M5s) on front, Hepts on sides, and PACs on the back for missile control)

I have the feeling that my Ares could kill any ship in the game head to head though.

The ore isn't as bad since I can just scrape off extra from my BoozeWeedTorpedo plex. Seriously tempted to script past this though since I'm just doing it for the PHQ.

It can but good luck keeping her combat operational, the ACCS Storm of Ryel tends to spend most of its time off duty due to the fact that you need like 200 of flails and torps for every combat operation. However,Marines are starting to finish training so she may be seeing action soon.

I went into battle with about 32 flails and 40 torpedoes.  Took out a Destroyer no problem, reloaded after that though.(Also capped 2 TLs later with it).

Hmm... I am having issues where the game locks up on me in x3 TC. It happens when one of my ships docks with a paranid mine and buys some ore.

I like the Mammoth. Slow as shit but it has the largest cargo hold by far. Easily holds multiple stations.

Elephant is great for speed though. Light pricetag too. Can also act as a ghetto carrier, as it holds 14 fighters.
