Don't expect a bonsai tree to grow the miniature planting it.
Trust your calculator. It's something to count on.
Pencils could be made with erasers at both ends, but what would be the point?

ok, the last two have been contacted via PM, they have 24 hours to post an action before I exchange them for the next in line on the wait list. Hopefully I won't have to do that though, both of them seem to be active, lets hope they just didn't notice the game was started.

Oh, I would like to specify my character.

Name: Inteuniso
Profession: Trader

Hopefully those two will not show up. It would kinda suck if they don't come.

Ok, no sign of alfie, so I will unfortunately have to bump him. It's been far too long without a response and we need to get started.

so Chedd is in if he wishes, PM has been sent, he has 24 hours to respond before I move on to the next on the list.

If/when alfie shows up, he may return to the wait list then.

Action man, action... I can assume gather but... XD I'd rather not have to assume.

I'll take the log and make wooden gears of it. Then put them in group storage.
attempt: 7+20=27
Taking the single log from storage you plan out how to make it into gears. However, a large wooden log is rather unwieldy, and you seem to be a little woozy from hibernation yet still. you resolve to give up for the day, and practice using your power a bit instead.
+27 wood mechanics exp

I will explore this world and see what there is to gather.
attempt: 87
quality: 31
quantity: 10-31=1
You take off with intent. Lopeing over the sand of the cove you avoid the sleeping occupant on the off chance that they will wake, and head into the thick vegetation of the surrounding area. Instinctually you manage to stop yourself before a clearing, and spook the creature before you. Standing on two long legs like an ostrich, this ten foot tall bird is covered with purplish feathers and claims a wicked looking beak. The miniture wings keep the fat creature on the ground, and the males have an impressive spread of multicolored tailfeathers. You grab the biggest creature in a glowing power net, and easily tame the chubby bird for later use.

+Large, fat Wher, with purple feathers(alive) !Base influence: 31!

I Claim the bear incisor.

I gather
attempt: 49
The sun on this new world seems very warm and refreshing as you stroll around the peaceful tropical beach. Several times you think about choosing this item or that item to return to the ship with, but in the end you decide your first day out of hibernation can be used to relax and enjoy life.
+24 gather exp

I investigate any nearby mountains/cliffs and gather things there. (dragon eggs please!)
attempt: 74-20(specifics)=54
quality: 56
quantity: 88-56=32
Wandering around outside the ship, you don't find any mountains or cliffs per say. There is an overhang where the tide brushes up against the foliage. Under one such overhang, you find a small sandy cave. You almost think it empty when your nose tells you of a recent animal kill nearby. Curious you search deeper into the cave and find that at the bottom of a sink hole there is a slightly upraised mound of sand with several small apple-sized eggs. The body next to the eggs is stiff and starting to rott, but you can only assume that the little golden lizard was trying to protect her brood from whatever injured her. Half a dozen of the eggs have been smashed and eaten, but as you dig around in the scorchingly hot sands, you collect a full 16 of the eggs, still warm and you assume alive.

+ clutch of 16 fire lizard eggs(alive) !Base influence: 56!

Smelt the Ore
attempt: 75+20=95!Critical!
quality: 25
base influence: 98+25+2(ore)=125
Taking the katana hilt and the unit of copper ore from storage you set down and prepare to smelt that ore. Sitting cross-legged in your work space, you cup your hands in front of you and place the metal ore inside. Letting your power flow from your palms, you easily melt the material, and with a little skimming you remove any and all impurities before carefully and skillfully molding the metal into a shiny bar of copper. This particular bar seems of very high quality, and glistens in the sunlight that pours in from the view port.

I will gather, yes.
attempt: 57+20=77
quality: 44
quantity: 46-44=2
Your trip out to gather is short and sweet. Deciding that simplicity is best you reach to collect the nearest thing in great abundance outside the portal. The yellow sand of the beach is very fine, and takes a fair bit of concentration to gather up with your powers. After a little shifting and digging, you manage to obtain 2 full units of the fine sand, and return with it to the ship.

+44 gather influence
+ 2 units of fine yellow sand !Base influence: 44!

Whee... New cycle, new turn. some good rolls, some not so good. Let me know what you think of the new rules in play. Going to try and keep things moving at a turn every 1-3 days here. As always, keep a good lookout for any errors and let me know.

Can I trade the sand? Is that how I'm supposed to gain influence? Or do I already have influence from getting it?

You got 44 influence from that gather action. But yes, you can trade the sand, or give it to group inventory for another creator to use. Or try and craft something out of it yourself.

That interests me greatly. I shall keep the sand for now, but I am more than willing to give it to someone if schle needs it.

Don't forget to post an action. :) also may want to go back and read the rules? Might help understand what your options are, as you seem a little fuzzy.

Anyone want to make anything special and need special ingredients? I'll take requests.
