Alright:

If in the past there was a disease that there was no KNOWN cure for.
And some guy had the disease.
Some other guy could give him a placebo.
And then the guy with the disease would be cured.
Even though there is no known cure.

No because then the incurable would be curable which would prevent it from being incurable.

Precisedly. Hence diseases that were once incurable are not anymore. Times change, you know.  ::)

No because then it was never incurable because it is curable thus incurable diseases must never be and never capable of being cured in order to be incurable.

Also you need a citation

No because it is incurable and can never be cured. When time started we knew exact what diseases could and could not be cured. why do you think we don't research cures?

We do.

No obviously we don't, you should do your research. Obviously the Placebo replaced all forms of medicine in the form of sugar which we obviously had access to for all time as well.

You are twisting words. An incurable disease is one that at the time does not have a cure. You can't define it as a disease that will never have a cure because you can't know that they wont.

PROTIP: real-life research doesn't work like Age of Empires research. Stop making stuff up
PD: actually, I have read this statement five times now, and each time made even less sense.

What me? Twisting words? Never!

You yourself already established that the Placebo effect, should it exist, is perfect and can replace all medicine.

Or do you take that back?

Well one second as I demonstrate my thesis based on what has been said to come to the conclusion that all medicine is known.

Anyone capable of translation?

Well basically what happened is I got fed up with people bending my words to exagerate the effects of the placebo to the point of rediculousness.

For example

Quote
all I have to say is "This sugar will cure me" and I will believe it

So what I did was bend their words in similar ways for my own benefit.

One of the reasons why placebos arn't used to improve the moods of the patients is because it is dishonest. Even if you don't believe in placebo cures, believing that relieving mental stress can aid a patients health is something else.

Also if you wanted a citation for "Placebo death" I had one for quite a while.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voodoo_death

Though to be truthful I got that one with a short search on "Psychosomatic death". The source of which I learned of this was a medical drama where actors reinacted doctors applying medicine and one of them was a woman who was suffering from a "Curse" who could have reasonably died from it. (she got better)

I also know some of it from my research on Sympathetic magic, Freud, and Psychosomatic illnesses.
