As far as those who have been unable to hear it, here's the jist:

Create a soap tower with soap bars, as big and interesting as you want.  The community will then judge.  :)

There really does need to be modded and unmodded catagories.
Killing 1000's of cats to make a tower is much better than popping soap out of nowhere.

Or at least give more "points" to people who do it without modding.  Although I imagine that someone could cheat without modding the raws or , it would probably be easy to find out about if the game log is examined carefully.

Does anybody even know how to make non-glitched soap with reaction_standard?  I've never seen it produce anything other than 0-value "tallow soap", with no creature specified, no matter what the matgloss subtype is set to.

i could quickly mod dogs to generate 100 fats, i would have to process it all, but with my dwarves sped up to speed 0 it wouldn't be much trouble

chill out guys, are there any serious awards? if not, who cares, the magma filled soap tower surrounded by magmafalls will win anyways

[PRODUCT:X:X:BAR:NO_SUBTYPE:SOAP_ANIMAL:DOG] should work, shouldn't it?  Unless you already knew you could use creature titles as parts of a reaction tag.  Then I guess not.  But I know I've had an elf tallow soap anvil before.

I think I might do a modded, just for the artistic value.  I have an idea that I like.

Just so I remember

You would think that would work, but when entering [PRODUCT:100:100:BAR:NO_SUBTYPE:SOAP_ANIMAL:DOG] or any other animal at the end, it just results in 100 "tallow soap"s that have 0 value.

I have a question: If I install some clear glass windows near the top of my "tower", does it still qualify as a valid entry?

This is a valid question.  To what extend can we use "other materials" to decorate our soap tower.  Soap should be the only structural material though.

Not very steep for those who have no life, job, or anything better to do

My first attempt has ended in Fun. I embarked, got a decent fort running then went to set up my soap production, only to find an alchemy shop requires clear glass vials. Having neither sand nor an underground pool to make sand with the tree bug, I decided to flood the fort with the nearby river. All but one dwarf died, and the remaining one stayed alive and sane for a miraculous half a year on nothing but vermin and river water. A river infested with carp I might add. After watching him for awhile, I decided to attempt a single person fort... Unfortunately, after building a small shack with a bed for him (since he was a woodcutter), he got thirsty one last time. Alas, he ran to the river of carp and was not as lucky as his previous visits. He was yanked into the water and promptly torn apart by a swarm of carp. Unfortunately I had not a single bar of soap to scrub all the blood from the river...

Maybe this challenge will be won by attrition?  But I like your attempt, Alway!
