Medieval RTD: Turn 4: That map looks new...
« on: November 26, 2009, 03:01:05 am »

I'm doing an RTD, I'm a little new at this, but I'm sure I can handle it. (Tempting fate)

I'll need about 6 people.

All I need is a name and gender.

Anyone interested?

SPOTS:
1-Haika/Haika/Male
2-Diakron/Diakron/Male (Does not exist until he posts)
3-Errol/Errol/Male
4-Katsuun/Kat
5-thunderclan/Zieg/Male
6-KineseN/Kin/Male
7-RandomNumberGenerator/Kinkan/Male
Full up!

By the way, this is my first time actively play an RTD, so I was wondering what kind of rules this one have.
There really aren't any rules, you can do anything as long as it's humanly possible, i.e. if you wanted to take your pants off and run around the cell screaming and yelling, you could, that still doesn't mean it's a good idea.

As for dice rolls:
-EXAMPLE-
Action: I smash the plate over the man's head!
Result:
1 - Critical failure: The plate doesn't even chip, and the man is very annoyed and draws his sword.
2 - Failure: The plate breaks in two, but the man is not yet unconscious, and turns around to look at you.
3 - Mild success: The plate shatters and the man falls down clutching his head, He is not unconscious, but in great pain.
4 - Success: The plate shatters and the man falls unconscious.
5 - Great success: The man falls unconscious and miraculously, the plate stays intact, you get to keep it!
6 - Critical success: The plate shatters and the man falls unconscious, but some bits of the plate get in your eye!

EDIT: I also forgot something, sometimes I will roll for a type of material, or a certain type of object, higher numbers don't always mean good here.

I think I would remember if I had amnesia.
I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

I wouldn't mind giving one of these a try. Sign me up, Haika, Male.

Pencils could be made with erasers at both ends, but what would be the point?

SETTING
You are surrounded by damp stone and iron shackles, your typical dungeon setting.

Water drips from a hole in the top of the west wall into a small bowl, probably from the guards' latrines; your drinking water.

On the east wall is a door made of metal bars, a guard stands watch, he looks to be quite bored.

All you have are the ratty clothes you were put in by the guards, and a small, empty knapsack.

You don't know why you're in this place, all you know is that you're about to be executed, and you need to get out before that happens.

1ST TURN ACTIONS PLEASE

EDIT: Put in that the knapsack is empty

Sorry, I should have clarified that the knapsack is empty, because of that, you did NOT waste a turn.
Also, Please try to put your action in bold or a different color, so I can find them easier

My first action is to search the dungeon very throughout for any kind of secret passage or any hidden items that might have a use. Without the guard noticing of course.

If I don't find anything, present myself to the others as "Kin, an apprentice scribe."

By the way, this is my first time actively play an RTD, so I was wondering what kind of rules this one have. Are we for example able to learn magic here or is it "strict" medieval theme?

No magic, to clarify, this is based on reality, not fantasy.
