Not if they can get fired for it.  And most people working at walmart are the kind that depend on that job - as in, they can't get much else.  Arbitrary is a reason that has nothing to do with the service.  Some who drives drunk and has been in car crashes three times in the last week, that is not an arbitrary reason for denying him car insurance - insurance is a bet, and that'd be a stupid one to make.  But a cake with a name on?

They were denied because of the nature of the service they asked for, so the reason had everything to do with the service.  You can pay a Nevada prostitute for sex, but that doesn't mean she's obligated in any sense to scream "Sieg heil" at you if she doesn't wish to provide that service.

Incredibly poor taste is not against the law.  Neither is telling someone to bugger off because of their poor taste.  No ones rights were violated.  Wal-Mart doesnt guarantee anyone anything.  The feelings of little Adolf Hitler Campbell werent crushed by Wal-Mart.  I am sure there were many other bakeries the parents could have gone to.  Don't turn this into something its not, or poor taste wins.
