Fucking asthma's playing up more than usual today, and my inhaler's empty.
Had to resort to a breathing exercise some guy taught me years ago to get it under control. As if my health isn't shitty enough at the moment, my asthma decides to rear its ugly head as well. At least I don't live in the US, where it apparently costs something like $170 to get an inhaler...

Roughly average quality of care for an MDC, several times the average cost.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

I'm not sure what bashful is supposed to mean in that context.

i keep having this terrible dream, where my alarm clock goes off

then, later, i wake up for real, but then i'm too groggy and confused to tell whether i dreamed the alarm clock or if it really went off and i fell asleep again after

inevitably, it never really went off, and i only get back to sleep about 10 minutes before the alarm clock really does go off

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I'unno man. Given that misogynistic dickheads apparently still end up in relationships, it's weird.
Confidence, however ill-placed, and statistics (if you ask out every girl you see eventually one of them will say yes) lay claim to that particular bit of oddity.
it's not just that he has a gf, it's just that girls talk to him and it makes me equal parts confused and frustrated. i also don't really want to hate him over this because it makes me feel like a neckbeard but :/

Argh, hate it when that happens. And it happens to me about every time I have a particularly unappealing day ahead. The only way to break that cycle for me is to drag myself out of bed and have a drink or something.

guhhhhhhhhhhh

Basically didn't get any proper sleep last night (thank you constant coughing and mild fever), and as a result, i am TIRED. I am currently reduced to a mostly blank stare at my monitor while sipping energy drink, and i suspect that the blank stare will be my default state for most of today. Being sick during the day is... Bearable, i guess, but night time sickness is the worst thing. :c

Ghk ack hmthf.

Can't breath proper-like. Stupid asthma.
Haven't had to put up with this shit (at least not this badly) in ages. Out of Ventolin.
Probably gonna make it hard to sleep.

* Yoink wheezes unhappily.

Edit: Yep, no sleep for me. Can only sit. :(

God, that sucks.
It sure does. :-\
For a while I'd been mostly free of asthma, hadn't had any major attacks in ages. Now I'll have to shell out for a new inhaler.

Get well lungs soon
Thanks... but if my traitorous lungs don't get their shit together and start doing their jobs soon, I might just take up smoking to punish them
