*Probably* the fan not the hard drive.  Same thing happened to mine, but smacking only helped temporarily.  It didn't stay quieter until I took it open and adjusted the screws.  It still grinds a bit when it gets warm, but it's manageable.

Yeah, that bothered me a lot when I first watched the episode.

I've heard a theory about that episode I really like, which is that its a metaphor for going through puberty and people suddenly being sexually attracted to you.  The point of the Big Donut scene is that Stevonnie is OK with that because its a safe environment and Steven already feels comfortable with Sadie and Lars.  In the rave scene, they don't know most of the people there, and to top it all off Kevin is a creep who doesn't know how to take no for an answer.  So that's not OK.

That's why the show's makers made such a point of how attractive Stevonnie is.

Another, related theory is that its about going through puberty as a trans or queer teen.  That makes the whole thing with Kevin more tragic because Stevonnie's "experience" isn't about being hot, its about being him-or-her-self, but Kevin took that and sullied it.

Not sure what any of that says about fans who think Stevonnie is hot.

I'm honestly creeped out that there are people that find a character from goddamn Steven Universe to be hot, even more so when said character apparently consists of the magical union of two underage kids.

Then again, its far from being the first instance of older people watching a kids show and then proceeding to sexualize everything on sight.

The theme of people uncomfortably starting to find you attractive was intentional, I've read that in an interview with Rebecca Sugar.

well fuckity fuck fuck apparently there's a chance my friend's going to be pulled out of the school around the end of the month if things dont change and he starts presenting as a girl and his parents have blocked all of his stuff so he cant talk to us outside of school and he's not even supposed to talk to us there and like dammit i feel liike this is kinda my fault since it was because his mom was deny that he'd told her we were coming to their house and church thing fuck i dont know im sorry and like i dont know if everything will be okay like it cant be right so much could go wrong and the best route as far as i acn see would hurt him a lot and he's just outwardly apathetic towards it all and like i dont want to lose him but he just idk im worried that he's going to just like let this happen or force it or something because he's arguing with his parents and just i hate this all and i want him to be okay and stuff but jut but i dont fucking know im sorry for doing this just today has been verh draining i guess im sorry
