What about falling with them in your hand and cracking their skull and calling an ambulance while you know it's hopeless.

Like I'm not even a parent but I keep thinking about this scenario.
Usually things like that don't happen with babies, but happen in the older "boy/girl" phase instead, often with the help of vehicles. For example there was a story that happened in my area several years back about a dad+son that were riding on a 4-wheeler together. The kid was in front driving and crashed, and the force of the dad from behind him crushed him.

However much I hated Spanish in high school, at least the information was useful and I took it with friends. There is just nothing positive I can say about my geology class. The professor views the students as antagonists rather than pupils. The subject is difficult and boring at the same time. It's upstairs, and you need to lug TWO monster-sized textbooks all the way up the stairs for every class session. I'm taking it with a room full of complete strangers who never even attempt to hook up after class, either for studying help or even just to share the experience.

It's reminding me a lot of my experience in a private Catholic school; total alienation from everybody. And this is just one class, on top of the fact that I spend most of my time on campus effectively alone anyways.

Honestly I'm kinda surprised that school wasn't cancelled in my county today. It was -4 degrees outside, without windchill.

It was -25F today (without windchill; windchill might have been as low as -45). Nothing was closed. Another normal day for almost-canada!

My 3DS will no longer charge. No Monster Hunter for me yet!
Man, that's gotta suck.

Temperature fluctuations, yesterday was -20°C (without wind chill) and today it's 4°C and things are super icy now! While talking with my dad, I slid down the entire sidewalk without moving. Then slid back with the ice melt.

Also, my girlfriend's little brother snapped the arm off my glasses, so I had to drive home with my glasses taped to my head. Fun!

So head. Very ache. Much ow.

I blame the fact that it's 18 degrees out.

Yeah, I hate that part of winter where its warm enough to melt the snow, but not warm enough to stop it from freezing into ice the next day.

So cold.
I saw an article the other day noting that it was warmer where the Opportunity rover is on Mars, than it was in North Carolina.

And I'm assuming it's warmer ANYWHERE on Mars than it is in Canada. I haven't actually seen any weather reports from Canada.
I'm assuming this is either because:
A: It's imaginary, or
B: Because everyone there already froze to death and only the polar bears are left, nibbling on their polite, perfectly preserved corpses.

And then the top of the ice melts, and you can't walk anywhere without crampons? Yeah, it's terrible. And driving in it sucks. Curse you Spring!

Spoiler: Canadian cold (click to show/hide)
