When you're playing with an army you've never seen before in your life, and you barely know your opponent's too, it becomes much more critical to get the tactics nailed down.

Of course, sometimes Lady Luck does screw you over and a peasant instakills your Commander in Chief by rolling a six against your one causing an entire battalion to break. True story; I was so angry. Or another fun one from one of my friends: his heavy infantry were almost entirely surrounded by archers (his opponent was rolling literally handfuls of dice each turn), but he took no casualties.

I feel like a useless shit with no purpose in life.
Can't seem to cheer my girlfriend up, today was a boring and pretty shitty day, there has yet to be much snow at all this year and today the day we were supposed to get a foot of snow it just passed on by (snow being one of my favorite things and something I look forward to every year, I'm getting depressed that this supposed to be 'harsh' winter will have no snow).
Girl friend was crying earlier because her dad's depressed again and I can't do a single thing about it and it makes me feel like a useless piece of shit. She's still upset and keeps trying to push it off like it's ok and it's not. If I had the balls and drivers license I would have driven straight to her house but nope I'm just a useless shot that can't do a single freaking thing!

I just realized that I seem to be the only one who is moderately enthusiastic about gaming with other people after getting ignored by a Steam friend.

I guess I'm too shit at games to be worth inviting along.

I'm listening to Sabaton and realising just how badly I miss wargaming. Nothing quite like lining up hundred of little lead people and spending four hours rolling dice and painstakingly measuring out inches to simulate the grand scope of pre-battle strategy and battle tactics.

I'd ask you to play some Crossfire with me, but it sounds like you actually enjoy that whole four hours of measuring stuff.
