Know that even though people may not be commenting on it, your posts are being read and there are people sympathizing with you.

What did they even use in this impromptu surgery? Pocket knives? Scissors? :/

Sounds like they should have gone to prison, or whatever underage equivalent there is.

Hey, I got cut once too! It was after I saw some so-called "good students" smoking something other than cigarettes in school and one guy came poking me with a knife and telling me to keep it quiet "or else"... That was in 6th grade.

A competent prosecutor would be able to make a strong case that that's attempted manslaughter.  As a diabetic, I can assure you that there is a great deal more than just a stitch-up job, when an insulin pump is damaged.

IG, keep in mind that, no matter how difficult things are right now, you're 13 - life can, and will get better.  You have a good 70-90 years of much, much better things ahead of you.  Eyes on the prize, hey?

Broken bottle.

I don't actually know what came of it, but the next day there was an announcement on the PA saying that the kids had been suspended and requesting that no-one do that again.

Their defense was that they thought it was a gameboy.

How the hell does anyone with a brain believe that someone thought something was a game boy if they had to cut it out of someone? This. This is why I'm going to wreck this planet.

Probably because child offenders get let off a bit more easily than adults.

This wasn't in highschool, I was in grade seven when it happened, so I would have been older than they were.

I don't care what age they are. That they did it at that age only shows how much of a liability they will be when they get older.

Cutting something out of someone for a game? What the hell is this, Saw?

The problem about pressing charges on kids is that juvie is a horrible place that will almost guarantee that the kid who get out will become criminals.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Really, they knew exactly what they were doing at that age. They need to be punished.
See, I'm evil, y'know? My final goal is to literally make the Earth incapable of supporting life.
But cruelty is a big no-no. Especially cruelty to children.
I'm still less than helpful.

Yeah, but when kids are willing to cut open other kids (for any reason), I don't exactly have high hopes for them anyway.

There was a shooting. No more than 250 meters from my home.
Apparently, some guy was being chased in car by people with machine guns. They passed right in front of a local mall (in fact, my mom took me there to do an errand no more than 30 minutes after the event happened) and then the guy fled to a Pricesmart lunchroom. The people chasing him came, killed a guard and started shooting the man. The stray bullet also hit and killed another person, a student at a local university who was eating there.

I feel sadness, rage, and terror, but this seemed the most appropriate thread.
Holy shit :-[
