That's why I'm glad nepotism might land me a (lowest level) job in the factory my father works in.

This is how you break the employment Catch-22. You cheat.

Is lying cheating? I know a few people who've done that, and performed perfectly fine at their jobs.

Lying on your resume can get you fired, and yes it is totally cheating. :P

Struggling to find jobs to apply for.

Nobody is hiring me, so income's bad. Then it's made worse by the fact I'm finding it hard to meet the required number of applications for jobseeker's allowance.

I wish I won the lottery. Life would be much simpler. I'd try to avoid going ape-shit with the spending, too.
Eeeeh, as of yesterday I now have to start worrying about applying for jobs, too.  :-\
Welcome to the world of catch 22.

To get a job, you need experience. To get experience, you need a job.

It's not as though I haven't experienced this before- I just haven't had to in a good long while.
Honestly I think I stand a better chance of getting a job now than I have in the past, mainly due to being slightly less of a headcase. Also I live in the city. And also I have people offering to help me write a decent resume. And, most importantly, I actually kinda want to get a job this time. :P

The best thing to do when job hunting is to work a year or three through a temp service that doesn't require experience. As abominable as they are (they're the main driving force behind the erosion of workers rights, because temp workers have no rights.), they expect lower skill levels and getting dismissed won't count against you with later employers if you fuck up, as employers don't expect temp jobs to last. This will build up your "work experience" account enough to look like a passable prospect with a company that isn't shit.

I don't know, my summer jobs as a glorified errand-boy have been pretty okay so far. I especially liked the part where you get to sit behind a computer and do nothing useful all day long.

It upsets me that I want to play Elder Scrolls Online just so I can better befriend a guy from work, but holy shit is it just not worth the purchase at all. I'd not only be spending my money in getting the game, I'd be throwing down my good common sense over to a corporation that clearly doesn't care.

I got into another of my moods where I think about an MMO that I'D LIKE to play, but clearly may never get made. It'd wind up looking alot like a bastard child between an Action Roguelike and MMORPG to make an incredibly hard, incredibly action focused game where death is cheap and victory is glorious.

It pleases me on the inside to think about it, but it doesn't get me any closer to actually befriending friends.

Internet has been bad for a long time, but I fear it's fast becoming permanently unusable.

(Posting in sad thread because otherwise it completely lacks any context from my prior post)

Went to doctor's, turns out I don't have a concussion, which is good, even though I'm still dizzy, and my stutter is acting up so much I sound like a character from an RP game.
Things are going better with my wife, a lot of stuff was cleared up, and overall things are almost back to normal.

So, overall, I'm good.

I'm still having to haul a bunch of junk around daily, and I still have to go to work tomorrow, but I can handle it.
