A possible shortcut on that trail is Donner Pass, where a party of settlers, trapped by a snowstorm, survived by eating some of their less fortunate companions. The most common death in that game was disease, most often dysentery.

Hilarious game.
The first time I ever played it, I spend literally 20 minutes nitpicking exactly what supplies I'd take. I had an extra of every single wagon part, except an axle, because I ran out of points.
Started the game. Literally 10 seconds in (The starting town was literally still frelling visible) and my axle breaks.
...
The game basically took all of my time, and gave me the finger for it.
Eventually, I beat it, though.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

I, too, eventually beat it. But then they explicitly banned baseball bats from the computer lab.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Watching that newish Hulk movie, and I'm kinda disappointed because of how little damage there was to the normal humans he tangoed with.

Hulk not actually squishing people much is actually one of his things. Nobody is really sure how that happens. But in the event that he actually does it tends to get retconed

Right? I know the guy he fought was supposed to be some kind of badass normal but the Hulk is a bit heavier than a tank. >.>

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Oh joy ::)

I'm in another one of my moods and everything is terrible now. I swear everyone else is all joyful and pretty much emphasizing how down I feel for no goddamn reason other than, 'I'm not like them and that's bad because they'd get fucking mad' and I can't get out of it no matter how hard I try.

So here I am at my computer telling the world how I feel because somehow that helps ::)

PRE-POST EDIT:

Sorry if this sounds a bit pessimistic and all the other choice words however right now I don't really care how I sound.

I wouldn't worry about it. We all do it, and the anonymity is good for making you feel less guilty about airing your angst.

Ah.... Good times, good times. Though you also made me remember why I stopped playing, way back when.

The young and tiny me really liked playing the Oregon Trail on ye olde PC, but one day ye olde PC (and every other PC for some reason) decided that when you put in the Oregon Trail 4 Disk, it would install everything fine, but then not show any NPCs in the town except for shop people. This made it impossible to start, as if you embarked alone, the game promptly crapped its pants and closed itself.

So much nostalgia though... Maek me cri everytim
