Use the money for adventures. Also, welcome to adulthood, this is pretty much how life is for everyone in the middle to upper middle class.

I am trying to install Fedora on a dual boot on my computer for a change of pace from my usual Linux flavor, but it's slower and my touchpad scrolling doesn't work. Blagh. I never realized how much I require touchpad scrolling until now.

I tried Fedora through the UNETBOOTIN tool. The mouse cursor was flickering and I couldn't find out how to do anything at all, even more so than when I first tried Ubuntu. So glad I didn't install it.

in today's news: my headphones are showing signs that they shall be breaking soon, and it looks like the rumor that a third season of my favorite animu is being produced was false/will happen at least next year

i'd have to be precise with what it is to get info from the animuthread, and i am not exactly sure as to its desirability

though mayhaps i'll know who to ask.

New Humble Bundle is just a Steam key resale, and HiB is doing this more and more often. This makes me sad.

That's the only reason I ever buy the bundles...

Dammit, I thought we'd been rid of the cata troll.

I got some stuff, wonder if he'll piss off if I post them. Other projects he's been bothering did the same, so maybe it'll work.

It's more symptomatic than an actual change in Humble Bundle Policy. The two reasons for this trend are an increased cooperation of larger publisher (hence, automatically, more DRM systems) and increased popularity of Steam.

Besides, I'm pretty sure that if you did an actual survey amongst buyers, you'd get a majority for steam rather than an alternative.

My laptop won't start up

I managed to get it to start but I can't help but feel that this means it is not going to last that much longer

I believe you should prolong its life by using it a minimal amount and backing it up.

If it starts beeping and smoking, toss it out a window. Someone planted a bomb in it.
Probably the best idea at the moment

Edit: and as I was backing it up it randomly shut down and now won't start up again, looks like it probably is dead now

I spent my last hour at work feeling like I'd been punched in the gut. That really bad feeling that something bad is stewing down there. I got home just in time to run into the bathroom, and I've spent a good portion in there since.

It doesn't feel like it's done yet. .____.;;

Isn't that all they ever are?

I thought they changed it so that you can't get steam keys at all from humble bundles and replaced that with a system that just puts the game into your steam account if you ask for it (along with the non-DRM version)?

Spend more than a buck, get Steam keys.

Apparently I'm full of crap. I just bought a Humble Bundle not too long ago where I got keys, but some people say this one's different.
