Isn't there a limit to how much time you're allowed to drive without sleeping ?

There's a limit to how long you're allowed to drive before getting a break. What you do during that break is entirely up to you and irrelevant as far as the law is concerned. I had my ten hour rest period, and so I'm legally good to go.
