Yeah...
Testing in the US sucks too, but not THAT bad. And people are trying to move the focus off of testing, so there is that.

Anyway, good luck.

While in the UK they are moving it back onto testing and rote learning (this last bit only to an extent). :-\

So I did my tutorship thing today... Man, why does this math stuff always seem clearer in my head than it does when I try to explain it? Yeesh...

Every exam where they can pass the students on through sheer rote learning they will do so. English? Have some 'notes.' Abandon all original ideas, too risky. Maths? You see these equations? Yeah you can only use those. Don't answer it any other way you can imagine. Modern languages? Memorize these essays. Art? I don't know, burn Picasso into your retinas or something.

Art is all about explaining what the piece you make represents.
So basically learn the standard pattern for writing out that shit.

I took my dogs out to the local cycle park, nestled in a side-valley. Usually, I take the dogs up there, and climb all the way up to the peak of the ridge line (like 300 ft above the elevation of the road, half a mile horizontally in a direction perpendicular to it) but today I was just too tired to actually make it up. Or maybe it was the excessive humidity, but either way I just couldn't climb all the way up this damn hill. The dogs agreed with me, though; they both went straight to the jeep and waited for me to let them in. Today is just a miserable day to do anything.

I've got time and gas to waste tomorrow, so if the weather is better I might go on a mini-roadtrip and explore some of the other valleys around here, nearer the mountains.

Yeah, but I'm a perfectionist with a sort of unbalanced personality and few career prospects (right now).

Please don't worry about me.  I'm in the throes of anxiety over a potential love, and this sort of uncoordinated shitposting is just one of the many signs.  This is just sort of... what I do.

pets, especially dogs can sense what youre feeling so i think the reason the dog was tired along with you is because they didnt want
to tire you out more. At times like this i think you just need more willpower, force yourself to attempt to run up the hill, even if you end up collapsing afterwards in the grass or trip and fall on your face.

No such thing as a good or bad girlfriend, only a good or bad couple.
