1986. It always shocks me how I'm apparently older than a good chunk of the board besides people like Redking.

At least I don't feel old anymore.

The 90s were actually surpisingly good in general. Lots of good games, some decent music. I don't understand the hate given the 80s were pretty much the same in even more ugly colors and less orange. And then the 00s were almost the same but we added blue to the orange.

I generally always think of decade's in the major political and economic events (It's what happens whe your mom is a Political Scientist). In terms of that, the largest events in the 1990s, Specifically 1991, was the fall of the second world countries, including eventually the Soviet Union.

'92, the first year that was completely CCCP-free since before WWII.

If only there had been another world war in the late 1800s, my sentence would have had a better internal rhyme scheme.

ROCK ON!!!

Neonivek, I am saddened also. :( I think a lot of players have this problem with their DM, to be honest. I was asked to join a D&D group some time last year and I declined on the grounds that I wouldn't be able to take it seriously for a long period of time. I think DM problems are probably are endemic to the game (and the biggest turn - off next to "Omg it's so nerdy".)

The 80s:
Airplane!
Michael Jackson
Cocaine (classy)
George H.W. Bush
Split screen multiplayer

The 90s:
Dude, Where's My Car?
Green Day
Crack cocaine (not classy)
George H.W. Bush
Multiplayer requires multiple consoles

I think the superior decade is obvious.

Like there are people who a) remember the 80s, and b) are actually alive.

I vote the 70s based purely on my hearsay knowledge of when KC and the Sunshine Band was playing and one hilarious anti-'marihuana' commercial.

You're right, PoH- the 80s pretty much insta-lose for having *shudder* Michael Jackson.
I should point out, also, that there was plenty of splitscreen action in the 90s...

Very badly insulted and threatened by client in front of court staff. Shrugged off.

I had known this man for barely a couple hours of my life. He basically wanted me to declare war on the entire system, re litigate his cases, etc. All of this would've probably been impossible even if he had all the money in the world, but of course he wanted this for free.... He also wanted court personnel, including prosecutors, investigated and jailed....

All in an afternoon it appears.

Moreover, I try to get people out... out ... of jail, not into jail....

The magistrate basically said after witnessing this from a good safe distance, "I don't care what anybody says, [my name] you're my hero. You're so calm...." [shakes head in disbelief as if questioning how I could possibly shrug this off without letting it get to me at all].

Now, I would never tell him this, but it's called growing up in an abusive home where this level of completely inappropriate behavior is nothing compared to what I am accustomed to....

I don't know what this guy possibly expected me to do in a single afternoon.

Well, after thinking it over, I came to a conclusion.

Hope to god that that man never, ever becomes anyone's boss in a work environment.

Well it's not like lawyers are actually people who need to do things like sleep and fill out paperwork.
Are there even any bright sides to being a lawyer?
