Apparently, Chavez dying is a source of celebration. Great amounts thereof. Quite vocal, too.

This being a merciful cross between the WTF and this thread, I can only wonder what sort of propaganda made people hate a guy who never did anything on or towards this continent, outside of some diplomatic visits maybe. Sad comes from the "hey they're cheering for someone's death" part.

Well he was strongly socialist and opposed the US as well as being vocally opposed to to "capitalism" (though this seems to have been more political rhetoric than anything else) and "American imperialism". Which of course makes him seem really communist in a lot of American's eyes.

Also he attempted two military coup's before he started running for office democratically, something a lot of people still remember, he also made friends with figures like Fidel Castro, and declared an alliance with Belarus, amongst others.

He said a lot of stupid things, some of them utterly repugnant even to radical left-wingers.

Heh. I remember him claiming the Netherlands were conspiring with the US to invade Venezuela from the Dutch Caribbean.

He also said that Carlos the Jackal was a freedom fighter, not a terrorist.

Ehh same thing.

But it's all in the connotations. Hugo knew exactly what he was saying.

He said some pretty great things too

He's a divisive character. That's the mark of a radical, and it's what will probably make him very influential for this century even in death.

Meh. From what I have seen he has been highly overrated, both by his detractors and supporters.

What made me sad is that my main computer for some reason won't start up. And I don't really know why (my its main screen is smashed and I've been using a plugged in monitor instead. It worked fine... but it only switches to the monitor on the login screen). Oh well, at least it lasted 4-6 years (can't really remember when I bought it).

Now I'm using my old, old XP 1.66Ghz CPU 1.5GB ram laptop. Down from dual 2.53 Ghz and 8GB. Hooray...

Ironically, I backed up my files to a USB just last night.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Insomnia + developing hacking cough.  Jesus.

Well, I'm getting a lot of work done, though.
