I don't know why nearly everyone on the internet gets hung up on the blue sun/hands of blue things. It's obviously the gloves.

For me it's why they seem to have absolute authority over everyone from local police to spaceship commanders, and why they carry around such a nasty weapon that causes cruel and unusual death. The fact that they seem to be immune to said weapon also raises questions.
