I was the guy who tutored everyone, despite graduating with a 2.1 GPA. I was also the guy that would do just about anything for money, so long as it was dangerous, but not gross. Then again, I was also the guy who would fight absolutely anyone, anywhere, anytime with a stupid grin on his face, and usually giggling like an idiot.

My highschool started year 7 with 257. We started year 12 with 97. We finished with 57.

And Max, I tend to laugh like a man possessed in a fight, like I find the whole thing hilarious. It's apparently quite un-nerving, say some people watching.

I'm generally silent when I fight, and when I'm not I'm screaming my vocal chords off.

I smile when I fight, I'm silent other than that. Its funny how much a smile pisses people off.

I call it adrenaline tension. But goddamn if Battle Trance doesn't sound so much cooler.

I've never won a fight, granted I've only ever been in one fight way back in middle school.

Nay, I've never been into a real fight either, standard preschool struggles aside. I don't make much of a good target.

I've never been in something that I would call a fight.  I've been punched a few times, but never more than once at a time.  Always when caught off guard.  I've been gouged in the arm with a pen and shoved or tripped in really bad ways.  Actually, I've only been tripped once, despite almost daily attempts for so many years.  The only time anyone succeeded was when I was sitting at a bench alone and three thugs all piled in and trapped me against the wall.  So I hopped over the back of the chair, and the guy (same guy who gouged me with a pen, among other things) stuck his arm out while I was in the air and made me fall on my face.

Never struck back.  Never a prolonged event.  So no fight.

I haven't been in fights since elementary school, not least because I was bright enough to recognize that a featherweight bookworm has no business in a fight (though to be fair, I've never really thought of trading a punch or two as a fight). I didn't hit three-digit weight (in pounds) until 11th grade. Could run like heck, though. So yeah. Did almost get drowned by a friend I had pissed off when I was eleven or so, and ended up doing a bit of eye gouging.  :P

No. No sadface. Count yourself lucky; fighting fucking sucks. I only ever do it when I absolutely need to/can't constrain myself. It's not an accomplishment or achievment in life, or even a rite of passage. It's just something that happens, or at least it is for me.

Er, thanks but I think I'm good :P

@ jc: Yeah don't worry, I'm not jealous. I never raised a hand against someone, or had one raised to me (outside of the martial arts class, but that's different and actual injuries were rare). I try to get through life without making people wanna punch me.

That never really stopped me. I entered high school at 4'6" and 86 lbs, and graduated at 5'1" and 125 lbs. There were over 200 "incidents" in my final school report. Mostly because of the people I was dealing with (unsavory types,) I was only suspended once, and I was never injured. I took my share of ass whippings in middle school, though, but once I figured out how to hit where it hurt, and then put martial arts on top of that, I turned into a demon in fights. Man, I need to get back into a dojo.
