North Carolina's air becomes water around this time of the year, and the winters rarely result in snow, meaning that everyone hears about how black ice is going to dismember their cousins if they so much as touch a car, so everything shuts down. The beaches are nice unless the horseflies or stingrays are out en mass.
Raleigh is just small enough to not be significant, and has an inter-city rivalry between Duke and NC State, of which the rage generated could be weaponized. Our gangsters suck. I don't mean they're dangerous. I mean that if you dropped them in Detroit and gave them all guns they would flee in screaming terror instead of starting a gang war. It's the best city in the nation to find a job in, going by the likelihood of being hired. The police are jerks, all of them, but that's hardly news. And there is nowhere else on this planet I'd rather live.

Although, if global thermonuclear war happens I shall be fleeing to Brazil. With any luck it will have survived unscathed enough to still be a civilization.

 Well then, considering I don't want to learn any languages, the only place left for me to eventually move to is the US. Shit. Not moving to England because they have laws or something that makes it very hard for immigrants to make a living or something like that, as far as I know. Otherwise England would be perfect. But anyway, I have time to think about that until I starve to death. Which shouldn't be too soon.

I think the justification is that even drawings can provoke people to go further. I'm not a psychologist, so I can't really say for sure if this is true or not, but it sounds like it came from the same people who thought that violent video games cause people to become violent.

I don't mind cops at all really. Then again our cops are less likely to beat you to death than some other places on earth.
