Dwarf Fortress likes to fuck with me when I try to get a volcano. This latest one bleeds into the caverns and magma sea and in fact connects the two. I found out when I dropped six out of my seven dwarves down it. I'm doing a hermit fortress and I figured I might as well use them for something, but now I have found that my caverns are virtually unusable thanks to all the lava in them :c

Really? Ok, professional stalking time. That should keep me busy for a few minutes!

Also, for some realy there is a gloomy tone to the forums recently, for me anyway. It's like it has been 'let's all talk about how screwed up we are' week. Not that I object, but some stories sadden me. Then again, it wouldn't be b12 if we weren't all messed somehow. Enjoying the slaughter of elves in magma flood traps demands a corroded sanity.

I got to thinking about something today...

When I was 15 I had a sudden dizzy spell, I felt super weak and a friend helped me to the bathroom and I splashed water in my face. It made me feel mostly better, like if it woke me up or something. I later found it was heart related.

But now I noticed that over the years the spells have become more frequent. And they happen enough now that when my sister made my room as an extension to this house she had the foresight to install a sink in the room near the bed so I could be easily helped to the now ubiquitous self washing of my face to make me snap out of it.

That just... I'm not so sure how to feel about finally noticing how significant it is that I have a sink in my room just for that. I'm not scared. I'm definitely not happy. If anything I guess I'm sad that I'm becoming so fragile that I need this.

Been tossing and turning in bed since about 10 pm. It is now 3:30 am, and I haven't slept at all. I have to be up for my first day of work in 2.5 hours, I felt exhausted and drained all night, and yet I still cannot sleep.

Why can't my body do the one thing I really need it to do right now? This is making me unnecessarily anxious, which just makes it harder to sleep. Bleh.
