Andrew Bird is fantastic. Actually, I found this band the Bowerbirds that's reminiscent of him. They're pretty good, they're from the state I'm in right now.

I'm not well acquainted with modern French music, the latest artist I've listened to seriously was Gainsbourg, haha. But I'd say that's a fair assessment. But that's just comparing mainstream to mainstream. I think English language music as a whole can stand against French. Coltrane's A Love Supreme has a bit of singing after all, hehehe.

Alright, I just took this WAY too far. Really, the only grindcore band that always sounds like this is AC.
