I fell sick last night, had to go to bed early, followed by me throwing up all over my room. And thus, I had to sleep in the next room, the unused one, which had pretty much no heat or insulation. It was freaking cold last night.
It did not help my mood that I had to do all of the dishes AFTER taking the NyQuil.

After getting my resume all spiffed up and my documentation in place to apply for the dream job I found the other day, I went to the URL link and.....

"We're sorry, this position is no longer available."

And to make matters worse, I just learned that my older sister had to be hospitalized last night due to the same exact sickness...
Luckily, she's home and well again this morning.

I have to go to the SkillsUSA math thing for the state again at the end of the month (just like last March) and I don't think I can win.  Last year I came in 8th and if I was wearing the proper dress code (which I didn't have last time) I probably would have been in 7th or 6th, maybe 5th I don't know how many points they take off.  I have to decide what to do soon anyway.

Wait, wha---dress code for a math competition? WTF? Man, somebody got a stick up their ass since back in my day. We had people on some of those teams who could barely dress themselves, much less spiff up for a competition.

okay, so maybe that was me  :-[

I know from experience that people who don't dress up for that kind of thing are more likely to succeed. *cough*

Yeah I didn't find out until later.  You're suppose to wear a white shirt (buttonup I imagine) with black pants and shoes.

Don't you love people who threaten you over a mistake, that you did... Especially when that person has been cold and a bitch even though you tried to warm up to her....

I'm amused but also sad.  I work for a chain hardware store... sorta.  I'm their underpaid out-sourced plant helper.  But part of being such a helper means I'm not allowed to do certain things because those things are meant for the higher paid people to do.  But every year, the store managers somehow forget my job duties, ask me to do all sorts of things I'd get fired for, then I have to tell them I can't do those things, then they call up my boss to get me replaced.  Well they contacted her again, but amusingly, the manager accidentally emailed me also.  So I'm very curious as to why he thinks I work extremely slow and either need a helper or need to be replaced.
