I do, whether I feel friendless or not.  I was raised in an environment where duty was the word of the day.  Duty to the human race, duty to your family, duty to your friends, social obligations, obligations based on birthright, blah blah blah.  "Do what you can with what you have been given, for that is part of the social contract.  If you expect good things from others, you must do good yourself."

Of course, I got burned when I discovered for the first time that others don't hold this opinion, but that wound has been healing nicely.
Ah.  Well, I do feel "duty to my friends" in a way - if there's something wrong, I'll help if it's appropriate too (or just support them in general).

"Social obligations" to be with friends (that is, to make more friends, spend X hours socializing or whatever)?  Nope, never really felt it.

Well, we're probably pretty much on the same page.

I hate sleep deprivation.  It means that I am suddenly wearing the world's ugliest outfit and I don't know how to fix it.

Rainbow socks, black indian silk shirt, dark blue sweater-vest, blue-and-white Chinese sleeveless jacket thing, grandfather's old knit cap with ear flaps.

I look so stupid, and yet I know that I'm just going to boot up and walk out the door because I can't do any better today.

I can still do math, but I can't dress myself?  Bah!

...But mathematicians are so well known for their fashion sense!

Although my strategy is to just wear very fashion-neutral stuff (jeans, trousers, t-shirt, jumper, jacket... uh...) almost all the time.  Noone would call me well dressed, but at least it means I can get together a wearable outfit when I need to get going to school five minutes ago.

I generally look like a slob.

Mostly because generally I don't bother with shirts around the house. So when I go out, I like to have something I can swim in.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Agh, damnit, fell asleep at 11:50 or so, woke up at 17:40.

I had three classes today. Two of them (the two last ones) were boring and pointless, but the first one was interesting, and it annoys me.

It's been raining outside and neither college classes nor work have been fun because of this. On the bright side, it's not the rain itself (which I love) being the culprit, but the atmosphere surrounding it.

I too have attempted to throw my two cents onto a thread that's blowing apart only to find that the thread got locked while I was typing.
