Try reading it while on a rollercoaster, to simulate plot.

I seem to recall liking that book, at least more so than most of the shit we had to read.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

So, my English class was assigned The Great Gatsby. It is the single worst piece of literature I have read in my entire life. There is nothing interesting about this book.

Try to figure out when Carroway is lying, when he's telling the truth, and when he's just had gay sex.

Trust me, makes everything more amusing.

Dude, why don't you read good Batman fanfic?  It's out there... you just have to put an effort into finding it.

Because I don't want to.
Actually, that doesn't belong in the sad thread at all really. Batman/Full Life Consequences crossover? Awesome.
Just needs DJY animating it.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Have you ever seen Half-Life: Full Life Consequences? You should if you haven't.

Is that the one with "no, john, you are the demons?"  Or... something by the same guy?  That is one of my favorite fanfics, though I like the stuff by Jycellaemynthia on ff.net even better.

Pfffff, I've had it.  Fewer romantic novels, more tragedies.  C'mon, folks!  Let's see some more dying, here!  No, not necking... dying.  Tragedy, noise, shouts of pain, lots of death.

Also, can I have a strong heroine who doesn't just want a family/lover/whatever?  I used to make fun of Tamora Pierce books and their menstruation-obsession, but that was before I realized how important they were.  I miss women with swords, muscle, and a vision.

Meh.  Friends first, then I shall have time for necking.

No, Full Life Consequences is by a different guy, but it's in the same vein.
