Congrats, Oz has just outclassed England.

Depends on what you're drinking. Don't tip back champagne. It burns when it comes out your nose.

I bet it's a proof that P = NP.
This would be one hell of an artifact.

My therapist recommended that I, on my road to building a life for myself, should just start small. His suggestion: get a haircut already. Part with some of my money, go to a nice place, and get trimmed up good.

I really do need one, I'm a shaggy monster. I just can't shake off the feeling that letting strangers manhandle my hair would feel bad. Being the big mamas boy that has always had his hair done by his Mom.

Also, any place other than like a barber would feel like it's just for women, and I'm afraid of emasculating myself.

Unless they literally take the scissors to your crotch, it is impossible for them to emasculate you.

Nah. I hate getting haircuts but I never got the impression that going to a hair salon (or whatever you might call a place that isn't called a barbershop. I just call the shop/salon/thing I go to "the haircut place") was feminine or emasculating or embarrassing. I've regularly seen males getting haircuts at said hair salon. Everyone grows hair and needs a haircut at some point.

Also if you go anywhere, barber's or hair salon or anywhere where the service offered is cutting hair, then it's literally the staff's job to cut hair. It's what they do for a living. To them you're just another normal client, and I doubt they'll think it's "bad" to handle your hair - handling people's hair is what they're trained and paid to do after all - unless you make the experience stand out. Like, there was a guy who made a scene when he showed up for a haircut because he refused to provide his phone number because he was paranoid everyone was tracking him. He got very standoffish even though the salon staff explained multiple times they only used the phone numbers to identify past customers. That was really awkward. The staff were badmouthing him after he left in a huff, which is understandable because the guy was acting like an uncompromising jerk. That would be a "bad" experience.

In comparison, you'll probably be fine. Just a guy who needs a haircut.

I despise getting a haircut. It's not that I care about my hair, it's just that I have absolutely no idea what to answer to "how do you want it?"
