Snip.

Good luck. My sister's also type one, and she's been totally fine for years now. I guess we're luckier than we know, sometimes.  :-\

Snip some more.

Sympathy and hugs from far away.

It's so nice when someone tells you that they're tired of doing all the talking, and then proptly ignoring everything you say.

One of my cat's is unwell. He had always been the smaller of the two, and used to throw up alot before we changed his dinner to something wetter, but now he has lost a lot of weight and I can feel his ribcage. We took him to the vet and he apparently has some sort of growth or tumor.

We've been given some medicine to dull his pain and aid in digestion, but it's really only a matter of time. It's a small comfort, but there was no way we could have known before it got this bad. A part of me doesn't believe he'll actually die, but I've still got enough wits about me to know he will.

I feel rather horrible, but not as bad as I really feel I should, which is mildly guilt inducing. I suppose the impact hasn't hit me yet. I've lost pets before, but I wasn't too sad about them either. I had realised I was going to outlive him because that's simply how things are, but I always figured it would be after I had moved out.

I suppose all I can do is try to comfort the more emotionally open ones and make his remaining time comfortable. I suppose that means staying up at night and giving him all those treats he usually scratches the door for.

You should have just called them out with "Oh, so you actually mean you're tired of having a conversation!" and then punched them repeatedly in the solar plexus.

No punching people as a means to an end. :I

Especially near the sternum. Y'all be punching (near) their heart. D:

I once had a cat that was hit by a car and I was devastated ;n;
It won't be sudden for you like it was for me, but I hope you don't take it too badly, Kero.

It especially sucks that I'm sort of still enjoying my day despite the news. The only way to maintain my misery is to do nothing and turn off the comedy channel, and going out of my way to be sad just seems two-faced. I can't even spend time with him cause it's currently resting.

Edit: on the plus side, writing about it is causing tears to well up, so at least that's progress from apathetic mild sadness. But everyone else is outright crying and I hate crying people, I simply can't handle them when there's nothing I can do to make them happy (as much as I hate to use such a selfish term, it's socially awkward). Which of course makes those who know that feel worse.

Tir, if I was punching them SERIOUSLY I would be punching the neck. Or kicking their kneecap hard enough it bent the other way.

Sternum punches are, by comparison, rather friendly punches.

And it can kill, if you smash the Larynx. So yeah, sternum is a bit friendlier punch.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

You can also kill someone by breaking their sternum or solar plexus. No punch is friendly.

What about friendly punches? You know, the ones that connect very lightly and are usually on the shoulder or thereabouts.

That's not really a punch. That's more of a...bump? Tap? I don't know. It certainly doesn't have the bad intention of a thrown punch, though.
