Has anyone written about the deep internet?
There have been libraries written about it on /b/.
Or quicktopics.

Most of them at least.
For real? Huh. TMYK.

Nah, I don't want to go to /b/. It is one horrible place. Anywhere else I could go to read about it?

Wikipedia.
Most of what you'll find close to the surface is pretty tame, only about the search forms and non-html media, like flash.
If you want info on those truly hidden sites, you will have to go to a gateway, like /b/.

Having two hours off from work, and spending a fair chunk of it here, answering questions for a free dating service while waiting for people to post in my forum game, then looking back on it.

There are worse ways to spend two hours.

It can be a bit of a slippery slope, you start out somewhere accessible and gradually move deeper and deeper, slowly sinking beyond the reach of the ever-present Google.
I've been down that road before and I can assure you, there is every reason to be afraid.

Thanks to your advice, ein, I found a "gateway", ended up clicking a bunch of links, and am now scared out of my pants. I mean really. I just don't think that stuff is for me. I'd like to be a legal person kthx

My sleep schedule is out of whack so I sleep from like 5 AM to 3 PM.

I'm not really a night person and I'm starting to get all malaise-y.  Last night I got stuck on this thought about a cat that lived at my dad's house.  She was (Technically she's probably still alive) a pretty okay cat, and that's coming from someone who really doesn't like cats.

Anyway, my brother, who seems to have recently just stopped thinking about anything he does and just stumbles around from day to day, took her to his girlfriend's house and she ran away.  Miles away from her home and without a collar, she's pretty much gone forever.  Thankfully she was mostly an outside cat so it's not like she'll starve, but still.  I couldn't get my brain unfocused on this thought, about how dumb my brother has been lately and how I'll never see that cat again.

I don't like feeling like this all day, I need to figure out how to get my sleep back to normal.

Being up all night and seeing only a few hours of daylight has been making everything seem a bit grayer and bleaker, I guess would be the gist of my post.

I used to do that in the summer when I was home from college. I did a lot of BBS activity back then, and it was difficult to get an open line during the day or evening, so I'd be online all night, and gradually wind up going to bed about 7 or 8am and waking up about 5pm.

Fun times, sorta. Hella whiplash when I tried to get back on a decent schedule in the fall tho.

It's one person. And an obvious illogical troll on top of that.
