Given the recent events that have occured here, I think I'll be taking a page from Solifuge and withdrawaling myself from the community for a time. I don't know if what happened here was just or unjust, but I do know that it makes me very uneasy. One of the reasons I like this community is because there existed a sense of free discussion and a noted lack of power-abuse. After the ambiguous events of the past few days, ending with the banning of Captain Mayday, Makrond, and Retro, that feeling no longer exists for me. Once again, I'm not willing to say that Toady did the wrong thing here, but I now carry a great deal of doubt as to whether or not he did the right thing. I want to believe for myself that this place isn't going to go the way of so many other internet communities. I really, really do.

So, that out of the way, I suppose I'll be back when I'm back, whenever that will be.

What the hell?!  So yeah I see Toady's ban post last night at 3am and I was kinda surprised, but like what is this?!  I'm just gonna be spectating the whole time but still, this is all shit shit shit shit shit.  I hate this shit.  Does everybody have to have some sense of righteousness?  This isn't moving me at all.  I'm gonna just be sticking to the MSPA and Anime threads for now where everything (funny enough) actually manages to stay cool.

A lot of people leaving who I liked very much makes me begin to feel regret that I didn't interact with them more offline, so that I could write them letters or something.

I'm not going to say "for whom I'm staying," because I think that would result in too much idiocy.  But a number of you may begin to get address requests over the next couple of weeks.  This is of course purely optional, but I'd rather ask now.
