Oh man, Borders is going bankrupt.  Guess I'll have to use Amazon now, Barnes & Nobles is a possibility too.

How many times does one have to go to a funeral?  I've been to at least 4 wakes and 2 funerals and I'm not that old yet.  Thank god they were all old people instead of young accidents though...

I haven't been to that many funerals, but mostly because I had absolutely no relationship to most of the people I've heard of dieing.  I know I've been to more weddings than funerals though, so I guess human race is safe.

One of the people there who I did know, friend of my step-dad, had been to ten funerals in the last four years.  He knows this, because he has a blazer that he only wears to funerals, and has the cards from all ten of them in the pockets.

I've been to a wedding once when I was around 8 years old.

One wedding and one funeral. The wedding had the married couple and most of the guests dancing to Thriller perfectly and the funeral had a variety of songs dealing with life and stuff.

Everything is backwards in this crazy world.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I have an essay due at 9PM tonight.  Normally that wouldn't be a big deal but I'm not entirely sure what this essay is supposed to be about.  I think it's 5 pages but I'm not sure.

I don't like funerals because they remind me of what will happen to me, and I don't like weddings because they remind me of what probably won't.

Reading War and Peace.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE BEEN READING IT FOR A WEEK AND A HALF. I'M ONLY 100 PAGES IN. GOD DAMN.
I know, right? Books that old take AGES to read. Something about the syntax just makes them read like thick molasses.

We like being reminded of the opposite I suppose.  This particular funeral had Jerry Garcia songs.  While almost every wedding I've been to had the Crazy Chicken, which is suicide-inducing in anyone over 5 or under 40.

Yes, the weddings and funerals I go to have the Crazy Chicken and the Grateful Dead, and absolutely no wailing or celebration or unbridled emotion of any kind.  So goddamn whitebread.

I read Great Expectations once. I was pretty disappointed.  :P

Seriously, though, dear god. Got about two thirds of the way through it before giving up.

I read it about two years before it was required reading in English class.

Wasn't required reading either. We got crap for that.

Also, this shortbread sucks.  :-\
