I think she's saying that the solutions she worked out are wrong, which she discovered upon checking the manual.

Jeez, no wonder they're giving you problems if the solutions manual can't even get them right. Is it time to use the universal answer to all of life's questions?

Nah, it's time to start looking over my answers carefully and figuring out what I did wrong.  Blah.

I have the dumbest friend ever.  He's actually not even my friend, I can't stand him, but because part of me loves being irritated and frustrated, I consider him as indispensable as any one of my best friends.

He asked on Facebook, thinking he was clever, "Did the chicken cross the road or did the road move under the chicken?"  I pointed out that no, the road did not move under the chicken, and now he's trying to say it did, using lots of big words and concepts he doesn't understand.  I am trying my best to explain to him that he's wrong without calling him an idiot, but he's trying my patience.

I'll have you know I am indeed path connected, whatever that may mean.

Be very careful trusting a solutions manual. They tend to have more than a few wrong answers in them.

The fact that there is a thread about "the surrent state of the forum", the fact that a few people don't like how not siris bisniss the forum is, and a few other factors made me sad

42? No, no. I mean...beat the textbook with a dolphin until it changes its answer to meet yours. What could possibly be wrong with that solution? ^_^

Actually, it's a series of solutions a mathematician put up on the net.

So... I do trust it, because I have an inherent trust for Hungarians.

(That, and his solutions are kind of obviously correct)

I'm sad becuase it's 2:45 and I could see myself staying up this late every day for next year or so, regardless of what common sense tells me.

Ah. That's a horse of a different caliber.

Hmm. Horse cannons.

Both ends have their crazies. From the idea that we shouldn't be moderated at all to the idea that we should have a whole moderatorship structure and multi-form hyperrules. It's actually starting to look a lot like politics, with Anarchists and whatever the heck the other side is duking it out via forum proxy. Truly this is tomorrows political battleground.

The Art of Manliness. And no, it's not something from Maddox (though his stuff is certainly entertaining). It's a website devoted to rediscovering lost arts and skills, and incorporating good things from the past into our modern lives. There are essays on the virtues of the barbershop as a social forum, skills for folks to relearn and use in their daily lives, essays on self-awareness and improvement, and even advice on hat etiquette. It's primarily geared towards men, but a lot of the advice in there applies to people as a whole... it's pretty damned cool.
Wrong thread?
