I have a slightly different issue, I think. I act well socially, but I find it hard to express myself well beyond a close circle of friends. So I talk, but that's about it.

Yea, that's tough. All I can suggest is to practice and force yourself to do it.

I went to Denmark in part to help me be more independent socially, and to expand my horizons. I'm not suggesting you go abroad, but you get the idea - push yourself.

I used to be very quiet but it was more low self-esteem than lack of social skills.  I thought I had no social skills, I thought I was super awkward stuttering constantly embarrassing myself, and I always assumed the reason nobody reacted to my horrible awkwardness was they were trying to be nice.  THen I went to college and there were all these public speaking classes and projects and I always got As and they always said I was great at it and then when I did a debate (and thought I bombed it horribly) she used the video of it for the next semester as an example.

And eventually I realized the reason nobody else acknowledged my awkwardness was I wasn't actually awkward.

im not even sure if i want to continue music production and sausage fattening and whatnot bc i always feel drained by the end of the day and i realized that i feel nothing after making a track learning a technique or whatever

i feel like i cant stop because its the only thing i have a remote possibility of being good at and yet i feel like i cant pull my head out of my ass and enjoy it, which itself is a weird thought to have

i love music and shit in the abstract but i feel like a piece of shit when i can never motivate myself to do it and match the people i admire

i always put it off for a time in which my parents dont expect full academic success in everything and i can finally have more free time but thats bullshit because so many say that this point is as good as it gets, which sucks because while i have acquaintances because of my wacky jokes my parents rein me in from leaving the house and actually talking to people

it feels like such a dead end and ill probably end up deleting this post

No, you're not, but if there are things you know you should be enjoying but aren't, it seems like talking with the people who know how to do the things might be helpful for injecting some fun back in.

I really hope that I'm transgender because that would give me a great answer to why I hate having "boy parts". Of course I could just be completely fucked up. I'm kind of used to being broken and worthless. It would just be really nice to be able to know for certain that I'm not I dunno, fucked up in the head too much. I really wish that I could talk to a counsellor or psychologist or something but that's kind of impossible right now. Maybe there's something online, I dunno. Sometimes I want to kill myself because then I wouldn't have to feel like I'm wrong for wanting to be a girl. Fuck I hate myself. I'm just shit, I dunno. This makes no sense, I haven't had enough sleep or something. Shit.

So, a friend and I are part of my school's newspaper/news website.

Or, more accurately, he was and I am.

Today, I asked about why he wasn't in the staff room anymore.

I was informed just a few minutes ago that he'd been removed from staff due to the harassment of several of the girls on the staff. There was nothing physical (thank whatever gods may be), but apparently he'd said/done... things online.

As his friend, I thought I knew him, but... Well... I'm not sure. He was always the kind of guy who'd crack jokes and the like, and not the type to do or say... whatever he did or said.

I guess I'll try to talk to him to get his side of the story, but I'm not too sure that's the best idea, since people can be very sensitive/defensive about these things.
