I never used to get motion sickness in the car, and used to be able to read for hours when I was a passenger. Today was the second time I got really nauseous from just looking at my tablet for a few while on the road. Makes me worry about my ability to do VR development too, judging by problems motion sensitive folks can have with it.

Apparently, this can happen with HRT; Males are more tolerant of inconsistency of motion and vision because of biochemistry, and it's effect on the eyes and on spatial/vision processing. Haven't noticed changes in spatial reasoning etc, but for all I know that might be up in the air too.

If nothing else the perspective is good to have as someone who might be making stuff for motion sensitive folks, and maybe I'll learn to handle it, but I'm not a fan.

Hum, that's strange. I'm not taking anything like HRT, and that same phenomenon occurred as I aged. Perhaps biochemistry changes over time?

... the hell did I write of course it does. The question is whether it's changing enough, and in the right ways, to affect motion sickness.

... and I now see that every post I make hijacks the thread to talk about science. Actual sads, muchos sads. IF SCIENCE IS MY LIFE WHAT ELSE IS THERE IN LIFE[/attempt_to_stay_on_topic]

Hey how about your avatar which harkens to a really tragic DF story!
Especially the fact that there's no available copy of the save.  Perhaps no copy of the save, period.
RIP, boatmurdered.

This one didn't want to be who they was. On the Surface – it was a dull, unconsidered sadness. But everything changed. Which implied everything could change.

Actually, after hours of digging, I found one early save.

And then forgot all about how I actually found it. And lost the download.

I'm sad today because I accidentally thought how amazing and nice things could be.
Well fuck.

I tried digging around in the original SA thread since I have archive access over there. Unfortunately they used rapidshare for the saves, which is now dead.

Looks like someone might've posted a couple early saves to the DFFD back in 2011. Not at a proper comp so I can't check, though.

If Boatmurdered is well and truly dead, with no saves available, that's a good thing.

May those poor short bastards rest in peace, far away from the hands of DF players.

I'm more interested in the possibility of someone having a Syrupleaf save, but again, all the hosting is dead.

Someone for sure has a save somewhere on their PC, it just that they don't even know. Weirder things have been thought to be lost and have been found over the years.
