Actually the IG are perfectly good at shooting things, there's nothing wrong with their aim.

Their problem is that they use laser pointers instead of real guns.

The IG is actually the most elite Human* fighting force in the Imperium. The reward for pointless waste of human life is the Planetary Defense Guard, staffed with incompetent generals and untrained conscripts.

The problem is that the IG usually faces non-Humans. And that's why they die.

Finally got around to getting this.  It barely runs on my computer which sucks because I have to turn the graphics down, but it is so rad.  I spent the first half hour or so just looking at every single unit in the game in the army painter.  I can't decide which is coolest.  It's a tie between Nurgle Chaos Lord and Black Templars Chaplain, but all the units look incredible.  I played a game as IG just to see the eversor in action.  He took on a squad of Close Combat Initiates or whatever they're called and killed three of them.  Hardcore.
