They have a turtle that met Darwin too, well, they had one when I saw it a few years back...

I'm pretty sure she died a year or so ago. I can't guarantee it though, I haven't been to Australia Zoo for ages.

I hate the New South Welshmen and Victorians who think it's necessary. Seriously, turning clocks an hour forward makes no bloody sense.

In theory it's supposed to ensure that the sun sets and rises at approximately the same time throughout the year. In practice it just screws everything up.

Yeah. Australian governments are stupid with stuff like this.

I've always wanted to scuba the Great Barrier Reef. I snorkled in the carribeans but im sure The Great Barrier Reef far surpasses that.

It would if all our corals weren't dying of heat death. As for daylight savings, I love it. I'll admit it's not really necessary, but nothing beats a lazy summer BBQ, beer in hand, at 9 pm in the fading evening light.

Hell yes it does. My first experience (so far only... need divers license) was there. Fantastic.

Note: Kangaroos do not walk haphazardly through the streets of our major cities, just an fyi. And yes, it does rain in australia. Not very often - but enough to keep the plants from dying.

Qlander here. One of the best states. Not only for patriotism - it's just that I've only been to perth, NSW and the barrossa valley. Not great variety for me to be making statements.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.
