I'm obsessed with the sky lately. Every time it's clear at night I stare at the milky way and the endless stars and wonder. I'm in one of the places where there is no light pollution from civilization. We only blocked it out recently, 150 years max, before this, anyone could look up and see the stars. What have we lost?

I mean, I'm east coast-ish, too (more gulf coast/north florida, but close enough), and I've seen the sky without light pollution around here once... after Michael came through, and basically knocked over everything within several dozen miles.

It really is pretty, but it also seriously emphasized what all that light pollution is providing otherwise, heh.

My coworkers and I were called to a group meeting. Given the recent cut in work hours, I was worried that it might have been more loss of work or something like that. Nope, turns out Loss Prevention caught a worker stealing on the security cameras and fired them. This was after a warning from the manager a few weeks ago that the cameras were being watched. Hah.

maybe its a sign of who I am but I always think 'hah, what a fool!' and shortly after think of ways I would steal from my employer were I going to.

My book is done! The next few days will mostly be spent making various fixes and collecting feedback for last minute edits. I have crossed the finish ribbon, and now all is left is checking if my shoelaces are tied and posing on the podium.
