A book I ordered a month ago finally arrived at my friendly local independent bookshop around three hours ago, and my train is finally approaching home. It’s closed, but as an Employee, I have keys, my boss despite being the most deadpan snarker I have ever met has expressed glee more than once to discover that a profit has been made before the shop has even opened, so I don’t think she’ll mind if I break in. She is known for her Unique style of customer service, though, so it might not work.

Honest question, is it really "breaking in" if you don't have to break anything to get in?

Breaking can be either actual, such as by forcing open a door, or constructive, such as by fraud or threats. Breaking does not require that anything be "broken" in terms of physical damage occurring. A person who has permission to enter part of a house, but not another part, commits a breaking and entering when they use any means to enter a room where they are not permitted, so long as the room was not open to enter.

I left work 15 minutes early out of spite. It felt vaguely like a victory.

Love being connected with good friends--one of them posted a recommendation on discord and I didn't know the author of this (free and well-written) game is also a very awesome person in general! Much like an educational visual novel, One Night, Hot Springs. Sensitivity and portrayal of many characteristics in games are great. itch.io is pretty cool as an aside, and reminds me of other people's works, like our local kaijyuu and when their work got premiered on the front page!

Really love seeing stories by many people.
