I finally have a proper kettle.  It's stovetop rather than electric, but it plus some ginger root should help to get me through what's now my third or fourth week of constant illness.

Also happy: the holidays are over and done with as far as I'm concerned, which means I can genuinely relax.

Indeed. Also, nettle, rose, basil and chamomile are all mainstays of a diverse herbal tea supply for any apothecary.

I plan on growing wormwood, rue (maybe rye as well, probably oats or clover though) lavender hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) & hyssop in terms of new, haven't-really-seen-before herbs, and I'm growing as many vegetables and flowers as I can fit. It's going to be an interesting year to be sure.

Nothing quite like a nice meal that you don't have to wash the dishes for or take out the trash. And feeling full afterwards without needing to do anything else that day is great.

Even if the traffic was bad, it was worth it.

Watched ash vs evil dead, on episode 4 season 1. Its blatant fan pandering, but with what kind of ham the original movies were, it fits so perfectly. I rank it up there with some of the best shows ive watched this year. Its good to see bruce campbell still has it. I geeked the fuck out at the end of the first episode. El Jefe's back. Groovy.
