Duolingo is 68% done with the beta for their Japanese course!

I didn't even know they were working on one! Pretty excited because I'm a total weeaboo at heart.
Nice!  Actually thanks for the reminder, I really need to resume my Spanish lessons.  And it might be a good distraction/group activity on an upcoming family thing.
Obviously Japanese is going to be tremendously more difficult.  On the plus side, there's the tangible benefit of being able to watch anime while playing vidya...  (merely glancing at the subtitles instead of having to give full attention).

Had a date today, that was pretty nice.

Less nice was eating a rotten egg jelly bean, from the Bean Boozled things. I've never had rotten egg, but that was pretty nasty regardless of authenticity. It was pretty funny though.

I assume it was somehow like sulfur, but that's mostly a smell.  Happily, I have no idea what that smell is!
(Not completely smellblind, but enough that I don't have a good read on sulfur/rotten eggs)

I think, uh, generally rotten eggs and their tendency to explode makes it unlikely for anyone to actually eat them.
Not by accident, anyway. Maybe if you were determined to have a rotten egg-eating experience you could carefully place the unbroken egg into your mouth entire before biting down.

You say that like you've never eaten rotten eggs before.
And that's not really living, now is it?

So, I just discovered a youtuber called Many A True Nerd, and I love his Fallout: New Vegas videos! He's like a wizard at the game, I watched his "kill everything" run, and now I watch his pacifist run. If you're a fan of New Vegas, check him out.

Sorry for the advertising.

No shame in advertising a good thing, Croc&BearLover.

I especially love his sociopathic lines in the "kill everything" run. "You really shouldn't have gone through my stuff, Doc." "You said this pistol does 20 points of damage it only does 19!" And other things... It's really amusing, in a kind of morbid way...

Too bad he didn't do a "Doc Mitchell" playthrough, where he would recreate Doc Mitchell and then kill him.

A week ago I discovered uBlock Origin plugin.

Today I can proudly say that I'm never going back to AdBlock again.

No lag during page load, no half-assed blocking due to 'support sites' policy, no special rules for scam sites. It's perfect <3

Does it do fake loading to avoid sites detecting it?  I was pretty satisifed with Adblock (not plus), but lately there is a lot more sites popping up annoying banners and stuff whenever they detect that I haven't loaded the ads.

From what I see it hard-blocks everything that's listed, which is why there's no load lag I guess? I'm not sure, I'm not a software expert :P

It works better than AdBlock for me, that's all I can say.
