So... I've now done about 7 total hours of driving for Uber... and I'm really quite pleased with it so far.  Made roughly $10 an hour, including cash tips, which is pretty good for a zero commitment/total flexibility gig.  Trying to make enough extra money to be able to do something for my kid's birthdays coming up.  Another 10-11 hours, and I'll get a nice payout they reward for hitting a certain # of fares.  That should do it.  Then once my family is in a halfway decent place financially, I could see this being a thing I do every once in a while just to buy a game or something.  Can't afford Bannerlord when it comes out?  Go out and drive a few hours on the weekend.

Helps that it's kinda fun, too.  Going out and finding new areas, and meeting lots of random people.  I haven't encountered anyone who wasn't nice yet.  It's not bad for getting me into a more positive humanist mindset that's been slipping from me over the last few years.
