YouTube setting itself to 60fps by default when available.
Everything looks so smooth.

People shouldn't be complaining about posts that don't break the forum guidelines, and while the poem (urg I can't belive I read through that garbage to see if it was actually bad, sorry still can't stand poetry) could be construed as somewhat lewd, I suppose it's also semi academical. So not really something one could complain about.

Verbose poetry tends to appear academical, especially if you reduce clarity.

Sounds like that story could end up being like that one poem that involved girls and goblin merchent men.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So after a traipsing around Wikipedia it seems this snippet is incredibly out of context.
By which I mean I'd probably read the whole poem to my kids happily.
As long as they weren't old enough to understand the terrific innuendo.

Just posting a reminder to myself that I can bookmark so that I'll remember to come back in a couple years to post my neener neeners re: STEM-worship, after I've graduated from the high-demand well-looked upon graduate program that'll give me multiple good public and private options for a stable lifelong career, which I parlayed my Liberal Arts degree into.

Shoot me a PM when you do it, my Political-Science-as-a-Cover-for-Engineering graduate degree will be happy to affirm the value in disciplines that pretty much spend all their time teaching people how to think.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Just finished writing a little over 5,880 words in a writing update for a forum game. I'd say only around 4,300 of it is from today, but that's still good.
It feels good to do writing things.

I just found out that there is more Cannon Stories to the Firefly series. Like the comic books...
OMG I love these...
Book's backstory is epic... And alarmingly insightful...
