Okay that is a fancy mouse!  I wish I had a DPI button :o
I can't stand side buttons though, I keep hitting them by accident on my friends' mice.  Not used to them I guess.
Also I like that my mouse is rubberized on the sides, my thumbnail has dug a little grip divot there during precision FPSes 8)

I do have to WTF over the ad-copy/bullet points.  They really should have hired a grammar checker.

But seriously, nice mouse.

I am really thankful for the things people are doing in response to a recent death in the family. I suppose that when death happens, those nearby want a reaffirmation of life, and I'm just really touched by the support I'm seeing and receiving. All these acquaintances of the family writing in, sending things. A friend of a friend of mine, who I didn't think knew me well enough to care, asked me where to send flowers. I am in awe. Still sad of course about the death, but that doesn't belong here.

It seems "Southern hospitality" is actually a real thing, at least where long-lost family members are involved.
Now I just need to get over this jetlag. Bluuuugh. I shoulda bought some energy drink or some such.

@HugoLuman: It's good to hear you're receiving plenty of support. Hopefully that makes it a bit easier to cope.

I think my life may have started getting quantifiably better when I embraced shitposting, and then made an effort to move the most egregious examples to a location better suited to it than here. There are some questions I never thought I'd be asking, and which I also can't post here for fear of violating ToS.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

A  short story snippet I wrote seems to have inspired someone's drawing.
That's a really cool feeling.

Man, this thread went places.

Conveniently, that overview excises the parts I didn't want to talk about, and now you have enough information to figure out what that is so I'm not being a tease.

For the second time I believe?

You should really expand on the snippet ;) ;)

I did, a little - I wrote a snippet from an in-universe religious text, by the same church that produces the Sacred.

Also, 100% of people who brush their teeth, wash their cars, have showers, have their hair cut, shave, eat, and drink died too.

We must give up all of these things.
99.99%, actually. We haven't died yet.

i'm pretty sure it's more like 50-60%?

like, a lot more people are living today than ever before

and cars have only been around for just over a century

So 50% of the human population is alive now, all in one go? When you think of the amount of time the human race has been around, I'd say that's exceedingly unlikely.
