I decided that, since it was past midnight, it had become tomorrow. Meatbread is in the oven. I have sampled the mixture that would not fit in the bread, and it is one spicy meatbowl. Two kinds of sausage (one hot, the other spicy, if you catch the distinction), a bunch of diced, butter-sautee'd mushrooms, onion, and jalapenos, and a bit of extra seasoning from my own kitchen. I'm going to have many fine meals with this, even if the bread becomes a disaster.
But what about the mouthfeel?

Of the meat mixture? It's pretty damn good. Chunky loose sausage. The vegetables are cooked to almost exactly the texture that lets them blend into the meat. It actually might be the best I've ever done.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well, I have successfully installed Zorin OS 9 (a Ubuntu derivative, designed to resemble Windows for those who want to migrate/not have too much of an issue getting used to a new and confusing interface, like me) and it's pretty good so far, barring some installation weirdness that I'm still very confused about. I still have Windows 7 to fall back on for gaming and such.

And holy shit, some Linux ports are pretty bad. Looking at you, Skype. (disregard the fact that Skype is bad no matter what version you use)
I'm expecting some sort of "getting started" tips from all the local Linux elitists here. :P

Ugh, Zorin. I tried it once, and didn't like it. Kubuntu all the way.

Anyway, be happy the Skype port is even still being updated, since it's now owned by MS.

I went to the opera last night! The Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan society is putting on The Mikado this week, and they were fantastic, especially considering they're amateurs. The set design was also absolutely incredible, and their minor edits (They'll none of them be missed, for instance) were tasteful and exactly on the spot.

It's all for naught since I nixed it anyway. Maybe some other time, but I'm not ready for Linux yet.
(will probably try some Ubuntu variant then though)

Well finished up Fifteen hours. Quick version of what I thought? (Since olga said my "Quick review" which clocked up at over 1000 words wasn't in any way quick) is... Yes I enjoyed it. Though at times it felt more like a World war one novel dressed up as Warhammer 40k, which isn't a terrible thing given how war and the Imperium can be. But it felt a bit striking.

And yeah it was entertaining outside of some predictability and some reliance on stock characters. So I would recommend reading it I suppose if you did wanna read a book about the imperial guard.

No, that's what positive social interaction feels like. Self-esteem feels like not sucking. Metaphorically, of course. Literal sucking may in fact fall under the previous category.
