I have learned that attempting to dissolve styrax absolute in alcohol leaves behind a sticky gum of a residue. I foolishly touched it with my fingers, and even after the application of steel wool and soap, they remain sticky, even an hour later.

Smells amazing though, so there's that.
Water won't help. You need something more apolar, like acetone or fuel.
"My fingers are sticky." "Are you SURE you need those fingers?" *lights fingers on fire*

Or alcohol.
He USED alcohol. He's trying to get rid of the residue that didn't dissolve in it.

It's not like people don't make Miku speak broken English anyways.

Aye, the thought had occurred to me, but I possess no such items. An oversight I'll correct next time I horse around with this stuff.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Exactly. Just drink until you forget that your fingers are sticky.

Speaking of, this is even more fun than the last work function. Maybe because I got to present (and defend! ) ideas with peers, rather than getting trashed with them in a faux Irish pub. Never drinking at work again that's for sure. I feel so happy right now! Giddy even, and without looking like a fool or over sharing. Well, except here  :P

At dinner now, thought I'd stand out ordering water.  But most of them did too.  :)
