I usually read my old posts and admire the needy, depressing, or angry in them. Nowadays I seem to have a tendency to sound emotionless.

I mean, I've always been facetious.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I'm terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought.

Laying down and standing up only require brains, not legs.

...Huh, that's way stranger than I thought it was.

Goliath groupers don't normally eat sharks, by the way. Also that is a 4-feet shark so it's smaller than an adult human.

Swimming children, on the other hand...

Here's something for you to think on. I had a scabs on my knee once. And the skin grow over it. That red/pick patch stayed there for years after.

Wait no just checked its tiny now but still there.

I had a burn scar on my elbow that took about 20 years to heal. It's still there, it just doesn't take up my entire elbow like it used to.
