AND YET I STILL KNOW NOTHING
(to be fair, it was an overcooked rice-fish-onion-spinach-curry-salt stew)
(I have REALLY weak taste buds, this is the only way to actually taste anything.  Particularly while drunk)

Chop the things you want to eat, boil them till they're hydrated, that's my cookbook.  It turned out well because I added enough water and was patient with the cooking.

(also, putting the lid on the pot saves a *lot* of heat and time also.  Much more than I thought a year ago)

Edit: My taste buds might be mostly fine, though I think they're weak.  What's actually lacking is my olfactory sense.  It's practically nonexistent.  Sometimes I wonder if I have it at all.

This. One of those delightful speedruns that not only set a record, but also puts on a show. Helps that it's cutesy as hell doing it. Nineteen-ish minutes of my life I definitely don't regret.

PS MOTHERFUCKING VITA
hey, uh, I think you should get that checked out

I mean, i'm not really great with like technology and stuff but im fairly sure that your PS Vita shouldn't actually be fucking your mother. I may be wrong, I don't know, but I think it's something that should be looked into.

No, it's a known bug, and quite a severe one. Once you get a PS Vita there's no stopping it. It'll fuck your mother, your sister, aunts, any attractive friends you may have. One day you'll leave your room and find it on the couch with that childhood crush of yours who you haven't seen in years, with its touchscreens all sweaty and a smug grin on its face.
Eventually it'll start using your money to pay for prostitutes and you will confront it. This will lead to a falling out, it will leave and you won't be able to play games on it anymore.

Hopefully they fix the issue in the next patch.

Took'd an' he took'd as a hero tooks
and he bowed to them all
and then
he up and took 'em all again~

-- Bantam Vita, 2015

E: Incidentally, if you see a dead Vita on the side of the road
don't pick it up
it is a trap.
The Vita knows
and it is waiting.

It was like watching a little movie. It was pretty much a machinima in itself.

A Jackie Chan movie, specifically. Apparently-idiots flail about in a seemingly random, yet calculated to apply the maximum devastation to the inept enemy, way. Also, hella stereotypes.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Why would you just randomly post something like that? TOTALLY doesn't look spambotty at all. :I

When I examine my feelings, I'm always so jumbled and confused as to how to classify the most stirring emotions in my life. I think, all in all, this belongs in the happy thread, though I could easily convince myself to instead place it into the sad thread.

I've recently purchased a bicycle. Riding it is much easier cardio exercise than my running/jogging routine, which almost always gave me asthma attacks and left me feeling miserable afterwards. My butt hurts from the seat, though I'm not sure if I'll just acclimate to that or not.

I visited my therapist today. I recounted to him the recent event where I had gotten a girl's phone number, and tried texting her, but she automatically defaulted to ignoring me without so much as a 'HI' first. I mean, I thought she was interested cause she gave me her number, but I guess not. I asked her about it in person, and she just shrugged me off saying something along the lines of "Sorry I'm busy." and then cut the conversation short, which was a jilting since I thought we were on atleast friendly terms.
My therapist wanted me to call her up right then and there, but I'm just way too anxious! I think that just sounds stupid or creepy, I feel completely tensed up and panicked at the prospect. I'm just not mentally prepared to handle further rejection.

But I know what he's getting at, he wants me to be more confrontative, to restore the sense of agency in my life. He assigned confronting her as my homework, not confronting in a mean way, but just to get a solid answer. He hasn't set the date of our next appointment yet, he said once I've accomplished that homework to call in and then it'll get set.

I'm sick to my stomach at the idea though, but I want to be less of a bystander of my own life.
