Cakeday went smooth. Slept trough morning classes, because fuck being tired, was nice and rested to faff about and play vidyagames for most of the day. Then went out on the usual sketchmeet thing, had a lot of candy, hugs, and a fucking awesome sketchbook as a present from the girl I like.

Bonus points it actually seems that she likes me too.

Also going to see the Hobbit with her and some other friends on Saturday so there's that.

Also also going to grab some nice dark beer on Saturday too, fuck today was a great day.

Hobbit movies are meh, personally. Besides the fact that Hobbit was basically cut into three pieces and then stuffed with filler to make it a trilogy, everything to do with elves is REALLY cringe-worthy. Especially the ridiculously over-the-top fight scenes. I mean, SERIOUSLY? That said, I am probably seeing it next week[With crush~!{And also other people. In a platonic setting.}].

Hobbit movies are meh, personally. That barrel scene is so, so bad. Seeing it the first time, I was just banging my head against the theater seat through the whole thing.

The stretching really is the problem with these movies. Because they've cut the book up then elongated it, not much actually happens in each movie, and it takes 3 hours to not happen. "An Unexpected Journey" is enjoyable I guess (mainly because they did the beginning pretty well and Gollum and the Goblin King are a lot of fun) but "The Desolation of Smaug" is just... well, when it's not being really stupid it's just boring. I think the only thing I liked about it was Smaug.
