I just got my very first PRESS COPY of a video game. That means I get the game for free, so I can review it. And then I just get to keep it, and play it whenever I want. Also I get to interview the developers because their office is down the street from my place.

I've been working for this magazine for a few months, but I feel like this marks the moment I become an actual journalist.

Now to download the game... So exciting.

For my happy, running trainer seems to have decided to kick it up a notch. Feels good to have to actually work hard.

I'm not excited about getting a game in advance, I'm excited about getting a (not cheap) game for FREE just because I'm doing a review on it. In fact, I will get PAID to play and review the game, and to interview the developers in their office. And this will be the second time I'm getting paid to create and edit a short let's play. (The first one will be available November 1 and I will definitely share it with you all.) I'm responsible for managing the YouTube channel in addition to my other duties, though, and it can be a little overwhelming... but I couldn't possibly complain. It may only be a small part of my job, but I am, in fact, a paid video game reviewer, video editor, and let's player now.

Now if only I could find the time to work on my Minecraft videos...

I actually figured out the cause of my horrific minecraft (And java in general, apparently) crashes. Turns out I was running version 7 of Oracle's JVM. Should've had 8.
